Virginia G. Howard is the Founder and Executive Director of The Healing of Texarkana. This gift to the body of Christ, is an advocate for the homeless, as well as those who have been domestically abused. In 1996, Ms. Howard was ordained to preach the Word of God, and she served faithfully as an Associate Pastor for more than six years. Having co-founded “Kingdom Builders Word of Life Ministries” in the year 2000, she was able to organize community events that brought all members of the community together. Her “Building A Better You” events were for the business professional and the commoner alike. The “Daughters of Zion” Conferences were also organized and hosted by Ms. Howard. Later on, her “Kingdom News” newsletter and magazine were birthed to showcase inspirational messages, that would help others in their daily lives, encouraging them to come to Christ.

Her recent project kicked off in 2013, a community outreach center located in Texarkana, AR. The Healing Place of Texarkana is currently in Stage 1 of Development. Virginia continues to work hard with her team in establishing this new outreach program. This center will provide Training, Education, Counseling, Resources and Community Partnership. Keep your eyes on this trailblazer for she continues to pave the way throughout her community. She also shares her knowledge with others by mentoring them in starting up their own community programs. This woman carries a wealth of resources with a humble spirit willing to pour into others.
